Red Hen’s Fescue Sod, is predominantly a turf-type tall fescue with a bit of Kentucky Bluegrass mixed in to help it hold together as a stronger roll, and a better product. Our Fescue Sod is grown for its superior density, dark color, and fine leaf texture. The fescue seeds in this mix provides increased spreading ability, deep rooting, and drought tolerant. The fescue and Kentucky bluegrass seeds in this mix provide low irrigation requirements once established.
Our 100% Kentucky bluegrass sod is beautiful, lush and finely textured. It is a blend of four high quality, top performing seed varieties.
Red Hen Turf Farm’s sod comes in rolls that are 2 feet wide and 5 feet long, which is 10 square feet per roll. Each roll weighs about 35 pounds. Sod can be picked up at our farm or delivered to you. Pricing is based on quantity, your delivery area or amount picked up. Have an estimate of sq. ft. when you call to attain a more accurate price estimate.
